 DR. WILLIE WILSON ENDORSES ATTORNEY PAMELA CURRAN SMITH FOR JUDGE 12TH SUBCIRCUIT 

Chicago, IL –Former Mayoral candidate, Humanitarian and Businessman, Dr. Willie Wilson, has endorsed Attorney Pamela Curran Smith for Judge in the Cook County 12th Judicial Subcircuit.

"I am especially proud to have this official endorsement from such an experienced and respected leader," said Curran Smith. “I wholeheartedly endorse her,” said Wilson. “We need experienced and compassionate people on the bench in Cook County. Pamela is the woman for the job,” he stated.

Dr. Willie Wilson is a past candidate for Chicago Mayor, U.S. Senate, and President of the United States. He is well known for his philanthropy to churches, the elderly, the poor, victims of hurricanes as well as gas and food giveaways spanning over thirty years. In addition, he is the owner and host of the longest running African American television gospel music variety show, "Singsation" where he has appeared continuously for more than 30 years and won awards such as an EMMY and a GRAMMY.

Pamela boasts a broad legal background, having advocated for countless clients in court handling criminal and civil litigation.  She has represented individuals from vastly diverse backgrounds and various occupations, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, sex, gender identity, religion, national origin, ethnicity, age, or sexual orientation.

Pamela has been found QUALIFIED OR RECOMMENDED FOR CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE by the Illinois State Bar Association and each of the 12 local bar associations included in the Alliance of Bar Associations (Arab American Bar Association; Asian American Bar Association; Black Men Lawyers’ Association; Black Women Lawyers’ Association; Chicago Council of Lawyers; Cook County Bar Association; Decalogue Society of Lawyers; Hellenic Bar Association of Illinois; Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois; Chicago’s LGBTQ+ Bar Association; Puerto Rican Bar Association; Women’s Bar Association of Illinois). She has also been found QUALIFIED FOR CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE by the Chicago Bar Association. 

The 12th Judicial Subcircuit includes areas of Inverness, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Arlington Heights, Prospect Heights, Buffalo Grove, Wheeling, and Northbrook.

Pamela grew up in Jefferson Park on the northwest side of Chicago.  She is a lifelong Cook County resident and attended college at the University of Illinois at Chicago and law school at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She graduated in 2006.  Pamela moved to the northwest suburbs sixteen years ago where she and her husband, a high school teacher, are raising their two sons, ages 8 and 9. She is committed to the development of her children and serves as a volunteer at the school. She has also served as a Committee Chair with the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and has been an active participant in various events and activities as a member of multiple Bar Associations, including the Illinois State Bar Association, the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association.
